Maura McCarthy.
Maura McCarthy serves as Controller, driving the firm’s financial architecture, reporting, human resources and portfolio company oversight.
With a career built on a foundation in public accounting at Deloitte and financial and management reporting at J.P. Morgan and Wells Fargo, Ms. McCarthy brings an elite blend of rigorous capital control, corporate governance, audit readiness, and operational execution. Most recently as Senior Director of Finance & Operations and interim Head of Finance at IoTecha, she built the finance and HR functions from the ground up, managed end-to-end accounting, tax, audit, benefits, compliance, treasury, and operations, and spearheaded financial due diligence through a successful exit transaction.
Beyond her accounting and financial expertise, Ms. McCarthy possesses a distinct edge as a Certified Professional Co-Active Coach (CPCC) with a background in senior recruiting and talent acquisition. Having built HR infrastructure and workforce policies and strategies from scratch, Maura excels at developing internal cultures, optimizing cross-functional operations, and mentoring high-performance teams. Maura holds a B.S. in Accounting from Villanova University (Go Wildcats!).
As a breast cancer survivor, Maura advocates for raising awareness and early detection. She previously served as a member of the Board of BCC Rally, a local nonprofit which raised $2 million over 10 years for breast cancer research and patient advocacy. She also actively supports other local organizations raising awareness for both breast cancer and mental health.
Originally from the New York/New Jersey area, Maura has three children and lives in Charlotte, North Carolina with her partner, Joseph, a Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Officer. Maura enjoys travel, health and wellness, podcasts, and spending quality time with family and lifelong friends.
