Sophie Manning.

Sophie joined Pioneer Equity Partners as Operations Coordinator, bringing more than six years of experience across early childhood development, international education, and hospitality to the role.

For six-plus years, Sophie worked as a nanny and in early childhood development, building the patience and people skills she still relies on today. She then spent a year in Spain as a language and cultural assistant, teaching English to school-aged children and fully immersing herself in a new culture, an experience that gave her a lasting love of travel. Most recently, before joining Pioneer, she spent nine months managing a mid-level restaurant, sharpening the kind of organizational skills that now keep Pioneer’s day-to-day operations running smoothly. Sophie earned her Bachelor of Science in Sociology, with a minor in English, from Appalachian State University in 2022.

Growing up with three older brothers gave Sophie an early love of sports and a competitive streak that’s never really faded. Outside of work, she’s just as happy playing a game, being outdoors, or planning her next trip.
